Knots: X-position Arms or Legs
03-02-08
The cross-over or X-position for either the wrists or - slightly less common - the legs is probably the Number 1 thing to do, when it comes to bondage. Teeing the hands either in front, behind or above the body almost always requires you to firmly and safely secure the wrists. And this is sometimes not as easy as it may seem.

The wrist joints especially can easily be damaged, or at least tied too painful or so uncomfortable that the entire scene soon will be no fun anymore. Also, blocking veins and irritating nerve ends is - inadvertently - done quite easily.
Below is a description of a both safe as well as secure way to tie either arms or legs in an X-position. We will describe this technique in a few easy steps.

Step 1: Cross the arms (or legs) and make sure the joints will not be covered by the bondage. Tie one end of the rope around one of the arms - using a reef knot - and start winding your rope around the arms as shown in the pictures.

Step 2: Continue winding. The windings do not heave to be extremely tight. In fact you can work rather loosely, since the entire bondage will eventually create its strength. The trick is in the number of windings and using even pressure. This bondage method makes sure no veins are blocked or nerve ends are irritated. It also allows for a bit of movement without the risk of the bondage coming undone.

Step 3: Finish your bondage with two or three windings in a 90 degree angle (i.e. around the uncovered parts of the arms). In the event your sub is a real Houdini, your final step might be winding the rope one or two times around the bondage in between the arms (not shown on the pictures).

Finally, secure the remaining end of the rope using a reef knot again. Make sure your final knot is placed against the inside of the wrists at the bottom (hands or feet) end of your bondage. This way the final knot is impossible to reach, either with her fingers or her teeth, and any attempt to escape will fail.

Important: This is a safe bondage, but it is still a good idea to regularly check the blood stream. Unexpected moves may always cause slight discomfort. If this happens, all you need to do is to untie the final knot, move the arms or legs a bit without removing the entire bondage en re-tie the final knot again.
